The Hacking specialist in Apex Legends Crypto was added into the community in season 3 (meltdown) which was the early part of the game. Crypto was main a lot by the wonderful Apex legends community but after routine updates and additions, Crypto gradually lost his fame and other players were looking for better competitive legends. With the coming of season 12 Apex legends developers have promised some buffs for Crypto which have been properly planned for the season to come. In this post we will talk about all the buffs and modifications.
CRYPTO ABILITIES
Crypto is more of a passive legends because of his play style and abilities. Compared to the other legends Crypto is more of a support legends than an aggressive one. Because of the fast paced game style of apex and updates Crypto lost a lot of traction which lead to him being dormant.
Like other legends Crypto has the passive, tactical and ultimate ability;
1. Passive Ability - Neurolink : Crypto and his teammates can see what his surveillance drone detects up to 30m.
2. Tactical Ability - Surveillance Drone : Deploy and aerial camera drone that can remotely interact with some game items.
3. Ultimate Ability - Drone EMP : Charge up an EMP from your drone. The blast deals 50 shield damage, slows players, and destroys traps.
CRYPTO BUFFS
With the lack of traction and less aggressive skills, respawn entertainment has thought of new skills and buff for Crypto which would make him more active on Apex legends map.
In this new season Crypto would be able to control his drone as usual but with a little addition of him being able to toss the drone where its aerial camera would be active without being manned. When tossed the drone will fly in the direction its thrown before coming to a stop and gliding in the air, with this effect the drone would be able to scan and see in game objects and players within 30m of its view.
In addition to the toss effect, Crypto's drone could also be tossed against walls where it would stick to the wall surface and can be used as a fixed camera to watch doors and entrances.
The few adjustment to the Legend has tackled the problem of being left behind in the manual drone mode, and has slightly made crypto more aggressive. Implementing such drone features with aggressive area plays would make the enemies so visible in the play area while giving Crypto and his teammates the upper hand.
